Our History

Baseball and softball have been part of the Springfield community for many years.  In the early 1990's a group of parents recognized a need to provide a better organization in the youth programs for each sport, and Springfield 46 Baseball , Inc. was created.  These teams began competing and soon joined leagues.  In August 2000 the first football teams began practice in preparation for the season.  In recognition of the variety of sports offered today the program was reorganized and the organization was renamed Springfield Youth Athletic Association (SYAA).

Springfield Youth Athletic Association (SYAA) is a non-profit youth sports organization dedicated to providing youth in the community a variety of opportunities to participate in sports and develop athletic and life skills through preparation and competition.
